Happy New Year!

We have a lot of lights to remove, so here is some info to make things run smoothly.

  1. Please make sure your lights are fully dry before storing them away for the season. When we remove the lights, they will be wet. Condensation in the lights will cause electrical problems for future installs. Please bring the tote inside, drain it if there is water in the bottom, and make sure the lid is off while drying.

  2. We do not take appointments for January removal. The takedown schedule is according to a route that begins January 2nd. We anticipate being finished removing lights within 3 weeks.

  3. You may opt to keep your lights up longer than January. The second round of removal takes place in February. To schedule our February takedown route, please text 425-578-5556; or email sales@highstrunglights.com by January 1st.

  4. For returning customers, please set your tote out for us to store the lights. If a tote is not out, we will place your lights neatly on the porch for you.

  5. For new customers, a storage tote will be supplied at takedown.

  6. A notice will be sent 24 hours prior to your takedown appointment-week. Our staff will send an additional reminder within an hour of arrival to your property.

  7. If you can, please have your cars pulled back, away from the house.

  8. Contact us if you have any special requests around takedown. We understand animals, security systems, and other unique circumstances require planning and communication.

  9. Warranty: Storing wet lights in a tote in the off-season will eventually cause rust and void your warranty--make sure to let them dry out. We do not provide maintenance on damages from domestic or wild animals.

Not removing the lights will void the warranty, as they are intended for seasonal use. We can do maintenance in the off-season for a fee. We typically see at least one visit per year is necessary for annual light-displays.

  10. Lastly, please see that you have paid your bill. If you have lost or not received an automated link to our payment portal you can request an invoice. Otherwise, we will reach out to you again.

The install season has been highlighted with warm coffee, cookies, meeting new families, and serving our amazing clients. Thank you so much for having us do your holiday lights.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
